David & Goliath’s Campaign to Help the Homeless

By Matt Van Hoven

To help create awareness about the more than 70,000 homeless in os Angeles, LA based David & Goliath created a street-campaign with the help of the homeless themselves. First they photographed 15 homeless individuals, each holding a sign they had written that read, “Before you turn away, put yourself in my place” followed by the URL, weingart.org.

The Weingart Homeless Center reports that it’s seen increased donations since the campaign began &#151 which included placing cardboard cutouts of the aforementioned individuals in front of upscale stores, et cetera, throughout the city. Watch the video to learn more about how they did it.
