By Kiran Aditham

There’s nothing like toasting to the end of the week than some flash mob coverage (OK, maybe there is). Anyhow, it’s been a while since we’ve posted something about the topic so why not shine a light on Respect DC’s efforts in our nation’s capital? See,  the group is concerned about Wal-Mart opening four stores in their neighborhoods and the affect that it would have on local business. So, they decided to act and storm a Laurel, MD store with their version of Aretha Franklin’s “Respect.” Is this what Bonnaroo looks like? And yes, we agree with the Consumerist’s commenters that the drum-beating lady is all kinds of fierce.
