Crispin Porter + Bogusky has promoted Robin Fitzgerald to the executive creative director position in its Los Angeles office.

Fitzgerald will lead creative on the PayPal account in her new role after driving the client’s recent UK Christmas campaign and its Super Bowl 50 spot, “There’s a New Money in Town.”

She joined CP+B for the second time in 2010 after spending more than six years at TBWA\Chiat\Day Los Angeles. Since then, she has led the office’s creative efforts on the Old Navy, Applebee’s, Vitaminwater, A1 and Grey Poupon accounts, with the latter’s 2013 nostalgia spot “The Chase” earning an Emmy nomination.

“Robin truly is the heart and soul of the LA office and has been for quite some time. We’re all very lucky to be working alongside her,” says ECD Kevin Jones. In the new role, Fitzgerald will continue reporting to Jones, who has led CP+B L.A.’s creative department since he left Wieden + Kennedy Portland in December 2014.

The new ECD, whose work has been recognized by most major awards shows from Cannes to the Clios, also served on past juries of D&AD, the Art Director’s Club, New York Festivals and One Show. Her work has been parodied by Saturday Night Live, and in 2013 Business Insider included her on both its “Most Creative Women in Advertising” and “Most Creative People in Social Media Marketing” listicles.

After beginning her agency career at Bozell, Fitzgerald worked as a copywriter at CP+B L.A. from 2002 to 2004, helping to launch MINI’s U.S. ad campaign. She then went to TBWA as a senior copywriter and got promoted to ACD and CD while working on such accounts as Gatorade, Energizer, Visa and the entire Nissan car/truck lineup.
