It’s been a while since we’ve heard word from Pele Cortizo-Burgess, who left his EVP/chief strategy officer post at Grey New York nearly a year ago. Well, he’s now resurfaced at MEC, which he will join effective September 10 in the newly created position of global director, integrated planning. Cortizo-Burgess will remain based in New York and his title suggests, will be in charge of MEC’s Integrated Planning offer.
Prior to his 18-month stint at Grey, C-B crisscrossed the globe, serving as director of creative strategy at ITV in London, leading planning efforts on “Got Milk” at Goodby for a spell and spending time in Saatchi & Saatchi New Zealand. The strategy vet also happens to serve on the faculty of Miami Ad School, teaching account planning and creative development.
