Code and Theory Introduces Burger King’s Cheetos Chicken Fries in First Broadcast Spot

By Erik Oster

Digital agency Code and Theory revealed its first broadcast spot, a 15-second ad promoting Burger King’s latest collaboration with Frito Lay (and newest menu item), Cheetos Chicken Fries.

The spot, which marks Code and Theory’s first-ever broadcast ad, depicts Chester Cheetah and The King giving a press conference. When a reporter asks if it’s true that Cheetos Chicken Fries are coming to Burger King, The King stays silent and Chester takes the mic to say that they have no comment at this time. The spot ends with a look at the limited time product, which it says is “coming soon.”

The “Announcement” spot will make its broadcast debut tonight during Monday Night Football, marking the first time a Code and Theory ad has appeared on broadcast. David, Burger King’s global agency of record, partnered with Code and Theory on the production of the spot.
