Cheil Worldwide Invites You to ‘Be The Master of Payments’ With Samsung Pay

Cheil Worldwide launched a new global campaign for Samsung Pay with the 90-second spot “Be the Master of Payments.”

“Be the Master of Payments” follows a mountain-dwelling Kung Fu master and his apprentice as they shop at a supermarket. The master uses his powers to magically summon items into the cart but when he goes to pay, the machine can’t read his card. The teacher becomes the pupil as the apprentice reaches for his phone and instantly pays for the groceries with Samsung Pay. It’s an entertaining spot, really brought together by its spot-on timing and musical selection. The spot will run globally online and on broadcast in China, Spain and South Korea.

“Samsung creates innovative new technologies to make life easier and better for everyone, and Samsung Pay is the latest example,” said Kate Oh. “Playing with the codes of old martial arts movies, we created two characters – a master and his apprentice – to demonstrate just how quick and simple paying for goods can be when you use your mobile.”
