While ExxonMobil’s agency relationship still remains in flux, fellow petrol operation Citgo has appointed Carmichael Lynch as its digital AOR after a review. As a result, the Minneapolis-based agency will provide digital strategy and support for Citgo’s “Fueling Good” program. What the hell is that, you ask? Well, it’s a cause-related campaign whereby the brand rewards individuals who do the most good by rewarding them with gas for a year. Helps out when you don’t have a Volt, we suppose.
Anyhow, the Citgo digital business, which was previously handled by iCrossing, calls for Carmichael Lynch to handle digital strategy and support. In a statement, the Houston-based company’s GM of brand development Jennifer Moos says of CM, “The agency’s proven success and expertise in the digital realm, unique approach to forging brand devotion and agency-wide passion for social responsibility set Carmichael Lynch apart from other agencies.” See the agency’s pitch clip above.
