Brooklyn Band Offers Up Tune for BMW Advert

Cinco de Mayo may have come and gone but Golden Triangle’s track of the same name off their debut album Double Jointer is still making the rounds thanks to this new BMW spot promoting the 3 series. The Brooklyn sextet is just the latest hip indie act to align with major brands, following the likes of Dan Deacon and The National contributing songs to Google ads. While Golden Triangle certainly hasn’t reached the level of acclaim as the aforementioned artists, as one music blog asks, is it possible for a band to sell out if they haven’t even really sold much of their music for real? We say more power to ’em.
