Bing Nabs Twitter/Facebook Search Integration Deal

By Matt Van Hoven

AllThingsD reports today that Microsoft has signed non-exclusive deals with Facebook and Twitter to incorporate tweets and certain facebook status updates into the browser’s search capabilities. Such an integration will certainly give the service a bump in virility, as the already-semantic-leaning Bing makes the millions of tweets and status updates part of its growing search database.

Which do you think is easier to search through: a blog post or a 140 character tweet? Which is more likely to be keyword heavy and payoff with a link to more content on the subject: a tweet or a blog post?

The integration is, without a doubt, a good idea. ATD goes on to say that Google is apparently also looking to make such a deal.
