We promise we’ll keep this short and sweet since we seem to have given this event more coverage than it perhaps deserves. But anyway, the Big Ad Gig has whittled the competition down to the final eight who, to remind you yet again, are vying for 30-day paid freelance positions (art director or copywriter) at the likes of Facebook, Atmosphere and the Martin Agency. The BAG bunch have notified the eight finalists, who have been given a brief by the Ad Council to come up with a multi-channel campaign that will hopefully convince young adults to stop texting while driving (a daunting task, we imagine).
The Big Ad Competitors have a couple of weeks to come up with a four-minute solution to the Ad Council assignment, which they’ll present to the BAG judges and a live audience on October 4th. So, we guess this ends our coverage of the Gig until then. You can now breathe a sigh of relief.
