BFG 9000, Supercell Hint at Dr.T’s Secret New Weapon for Boom Beach

Barton F. Graf 9000 recently launched a campaign for Supercell’s strategy game Boom Beach highlighting the game’s villain, Dr. T.

“Dr.T’s Into” features Dr.T informing viewers that he’s taken over the airwaves, mocking players of the game, who he says have brains “as small and easy to crush as this miniature brain pinata” and their strategies. In “Dr. T’s Everything,” meanwhile, the villain taunts players, claiming that he’s thought of every possible defense and can’t be defeated. Other ads include the character launching into song about a new weapon he plans to unleash on players and employing a very Schackleford-esque maneuver. The campaign made its broadcast debut on Christmas Day, including during ESPN’s NBA coverage and several of the spots have well over three million views on YouTube. Dr. T’s hints of a devastating new weapon will coincide with its introduction in the game this Friday, so the villain isn’t just blowing smoke.
