Berlin Games Schtupped by Insipid Motto

By Kiran Aditham

Either something was lost in translation or cleverness just isn’t their strong suit but some marketing genius in Berlin could only muster up the slogan “Have a Good Time!” to promote the World Athletic Championships which the German capital is hosting this year.

As the site More Than the Games asks, is this the worst motto ever written for a sporting event? Even if it isn’t, it smacks hard of laziness (and is even trademarked?!), hopefully giving London something to think about before unveiling its tagline for the 2012 Olympics.
