Not only is BBDO Worldwide taking home 12 North American Effie Awards this year, it will be crowned the “most effective agency network” for the second year in a row. Following BBDO is Saatchi & Saatchi with nine awards and Leo Burnett with eight.
Winning brands from the past year include Old Spice (duh), Toyota and Snickers. And, for those interested on how holding companies fared (because who doesn’t love them?), Omnicom leads the pack with 26 awards followed by Publicis with 23. While the Effies are releasing the names of companies receiving awards, we won’t know who won Gold, Silver or Bronze in the North American and global competition until the 43rd annual awards gala is held in New York on June 7. After all, why spoil the fun?
