Campaign reports that BBDO North America’s executive planning director Mike Teasdale has left the agency for Lowe and will take on the chief planning officer role for the latter’s global Unilever business. In turn, he will be responsible for the planning and strategy on accounts such as Axe, Rexona, Knorr and OMO.

The UK-born Teasdale, who’s been BBDO NA’s executive planning director since 2004, is leaving the agency after spending 13 years in various offices, from serving as head of planning at AMV BBDO in London to joining BBDO Atlanta as vice chairman and executive planning director in 2003. According to Campaign, he played a pivotal role in the merger of AT&T Wireless and Cingular during his time at BBDO. Prior to joining said agency, he had stints at both BBH and Ogilvy in London.
