BBDO Atlanta Picks Up Carter’s Biz

By Kiran Aditham

Well, it looks like new BBDO Atlanta president/CEO Gill Duff is getting right down to business. Just a few weeks after being named the head of the network’s office down south, Duff has already announced a new account win, that being baby/children’s apparel brand Carter’s. From what we’ve been told, BBDO Atlanta is the first national creative agency partner for Carter’s, which made its choice following a review. We’ve obtained a memo that Duff sent to staff yesterday afternoon regarding the win, which you can read if you’d like after the jump.

Subject: Exciting News

I’ve got some great news to share.

This morning we learned that we have been selected by Carter’s, Inc. to be their new agency.  As you know, Carter’s is the leading brand of children’s apparel, selling in all major retailers (from Macy’s to Walmart and Target), online, and operating hundreds of their own stores across the country.  We will be helping them create a new brand campaign that is expected to launch in the fourth quarter.

The pitch represented BBDO Atlanta at its best: a genuine team effort, great thinking, and superb creative.  Our new clients are as excited about this news as we are.  When we were told that we had won the pitch, phrases such as “unanimous” and “decidedly the choice” were used.

This is a great example of how our focus on “The Work” and our outstanding retail and shopper capabilities resulted in a great new agency for Carter’s and a fantastic new business win for the agency.

Congratulations and Cheers!
