BBDO Atlanta Celebrates Freedom in First Effort for Norwegian Cruise Lines

BBDO Atlanta launched its first work for Norwegian Cruise Lines since BBDO was named agency of record for the brand in June, following a review launched in early April, with the 30-second “Feel Free.”

The spot, set to a Pitbull track (eww), celebrates the freedom of the open ocean and Norwegian Cruise Lines’ offerings.

“Out here you’re free,” reads text near the beginning of the ad. As the spot continues, lines like “Free to indulge” and “Free to explore” are interspersed with footage of cruise passengers living it up onboard and the exotic locations they’re traveling to. The spot concludes by bringing the “Free” message into focus, highlighting the cruise line’s “Free At Sea” deal letting passengers choose between free wi-fi, free drinks, free specialty dining or free shore excursions. Aside from its focus on the “Free at Sea” deal the spot is not much of a departure for the brand, considering the agency change.

We just hope the next effort is Pitbull-free.
