Arnold Poaches Pair of Creative Leaders From Y&R

Arnold Worldwide appointed Marc Sobier and Greg Farley to roles as senior vice president, group creative director, reporting to global chief creative officer Jim Elliott.

Sobier joins the agency after a six month period as a freelance executive creative director/art director. That followed four years with Y&R New York as an executive creative director, where he worked on high-profile campaigns such as “The Vanishing Game” for Land Rover and the “Raise Our Flag” fundraising campaign for the United States Olympic Committee and Team USA. Prior to joining Y&R in August of 2011 he spent over six and a half years as an associate creative director with Goodby, Silverstein & Partners. Before that he spent time as an associate creative director with Moffatt/Rosenthal Advertising and R / West Advertising, and as an art director with Ogilvy New York and AKA Advertising & Sass, Inc.

Farley worked with Sobier on the Land Rover account at Y&R New York, where he served as a creative director beginning in May of 2013. Prior to joining Y&R he spent a year and a half as a freelance creative director/copywriter, following over a year as a creative director with Kirshenbaum Bond Senecal + Partners, where he worked with brands including  BMW, The Robin Hood Foundation, Steak ‘N Shake and The Daily. That followed nearly three years as a copywriter with Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, where he also worked together with Sobier and Elliott. Before that he spent six years as a copywriter with Saatchi & Saatchi L.A., working with clients such as Toyota, Procter & Gamble and NEED Magazine.
