…And Now Your Sexy Mid-Day Interlude Courtesy of Cartier, Air

By Kiran Aditham

It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood, so we though we’d interrupt the usual departures, hirings and account win updates with a little short film from luxury brand Cartier, which employed the services of NYC-based directing team Waverly and irresistible French duo Air to bring its vision to life. The music video called “Painted Love” premiered on Facebook today (see it here–no embeddable version yet and yes, you will have to soak it up and “Like” Cartier to view, sorry) and begs the question, “How far would you go love?” Yes, it’s schmaltzy, melodramatic and all of the above, but the story here of an artist surrendering to his creation and Air’s shifting, sexy score make it worth lasting through the whole four minutes during your lunch break. Regarding Air’s involvement, Jean-Benoît Dunkel, one-half of the duo, states, “I thought it was a very good opportunity for us to experiment with different sounding music than what we could have done for another band.”

Check out a behind-the-scenes clip featuring Dunkel and those behind “Painted Love” below:
