American Apparel Wants to (Gasp!) Dress You in Versatile Potato Sack

By Kiran Aditham

While Dov Charney is no stranger to controversy or the occasional lawsuit, American Apparel’s CEO perhaps is trying to prove his brand is bigger than just what the pervy, overt advertising touts.

The bespectacled bossman is steering AA into evening wear and insisting you wear clothes for a change with the Le Sac Dress, an outfit you can sport in a dozen ways thanks to long, versatile straps that let you do some sort of origami and presto, you’re ready to get hit on.

If the instructions on how to manipulate Le Sac leave you confused, AA has also launched several brief YouTube videos to guide you through the process so you can step out and feel as classy as you possibly can wearing American Apparel.
