Update: Conflicting reports tell us Campbell Mithun is behind this work. We’re looking into it, but FishbowlLA has it as CP+B.

Tina Dupuy
of AgencySpy’s sister blog FishbowlLA reports that the new Burger King spots which tie in the upcoming Star Trek film are being shot on the Enterprise set. For you non-Trekkies, the Enterprise is the ship you’ve seen “being constructed” in a few teaser trailers.

The movie is set as a prequel to the entire Star Trek series (film and television) and the story follows the events that brought the original Enterprise crew together &#151 you know, Capt. Kirk, Scotty, Spock, Zulu, Bones etc. So naturally, using the actual set of the movie makes sense. So does employing the skills of Star Trek DP Daniel Mindel and production designer Scott Chambliss.
