Advertising 2.0

By Matt Van Hoven

Well it’s Internet Week, which means AgencySpy will be doing some on the scene research of what the hell is new in New York’s digital world.

“Internet Week New York is a week-long festival of events saluting New York’s thriving Internet industry and the many talented companies, organizations and innovators creating the future of online media! Internet Week New York is produced by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences in cooperation with the City of New York and the Mayor’s Office of Film, Theatre & Broadcasting.”

As part of the festivities, which began today, a group of pros are hosting Advertising 2.0.

“Advertising 2.0 is an in-depth conference on global media, advertising and branding evolution. Presented by Advertising Age and Digital Hollywood, it features keynotes, panel discussions, roundtables and strategic workshops including Politics and Culture Redefined by Social Media; Funds, Mergers, Acquisitions, Takeovers and Targets; Television 2008; Social Media & User Generated Media Economy; The Future of Enhanced Advertising; On Demand, Broadband, ITV, PVR, DVD & Mobile; Publishing 2.0: Re-Imagining the Newspaper and Magazine Industries; Digital Billboards; P2P & Advertising, and more.

Erm, what was that? We’re looking forward to AdAge telling it like it may be (OK, I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt), Television 2008, Social Media & User Generated Media Economy but who knows. I’ll be there with bells on.
