DraftFCB Healthcare Pharma to Unite with NYC Unit?

By Matt Van Hoven

A commenter on George Parker’s AdScam wonders if there’s:…

“Any truth to the rumblings that plans are underway to merge the very successful DraftFCB Healthcare pharma unit in NYC with what little is left of the very unsuccessful main agency there and turn the result into a giant pharma shop? Would it mean shipping the small piece of Kraft they still have over to McCann? Or would the new Pharma Agency hold on to it?”

More about possible layoffs after the jump.

That leads to the next question, which another commenter pointed out &#151 will there be any layoffs coming at Draft?

can’t believe you aren’t ripping on DFCB heads are rolling and they’re going to be major lay-offs. Tim Bruns got the boot last Friday, more to come

This whole thing reminds me of a story from June 22nd, in the In The Region section of the NYT from this weekend about former ad exec Richard Ginsberg. It’s a gruesome time to be an American &#151 thank goodness NYC is recession proof. Eh hem.
