Gotham Promotes Pair to Senior Management Ranks

New York-based, IPG-owned Gotham, which was most recently one of the parties behind those Denny’s funnies, has promoted two of its own this week as the agency’s bumped up Lyle Tick and Alan Snitow to the newly created positions of managing director and director of strategy and innovation, respectively.

Tick (pictured) has been with Gotham since 2008 and most recently served as partner, director of account management. Prior to Gotham, he spent four years as group managing director at McGarryBowen, where he handled accounts including Reebok. During his career, Tick had account exec/director stings at both DDB and Euro RSCG’s New York offices.

Snitow, meanwhile, has been on the Gotham payroll since 2009 and was formerly partner, director of strategy at the agency. While he’ll continue to run Gotham’s strategy group, Snitow’s new title calls for him to lead the shop’s new and emerging media practices. Before joining Gotham, the self-described “brand strategist who loves sharing the craft as well as practicing it” served as group planning director at BBH and SS+K prior to that. During his career, Snitow also held account planner posts at Deutsch and Saatchi & Saatchi.
