Digitas Promotes Young Lee to Chief Strategy Officer

Digitas has promoted Young Lee to chief strategy officer to lead the strategic vision for the agency and promote media-based creativity across all clients.

Previously, Lee served as executive vice president, head of brand and creative strategy, North America. helping to win and expand relationships with clients including Mondelēz, Powerade and Norwegian Cruise Line. Prior to joining Digitas, Lee served in various positions at agencies including Publicis New York, TBWA\Chiat\Day, Redscout, Deutsch, R/GA, and Wieden + Kennedy, working with brands including Skittles, Citi, L’Oreal, Absolut, Nike, Pepsi and IKEA.

As CSO, Lee is charged with elevating brand storytelling across the agency’s connected capabilities for existing clients as well as new business ventures.

“I’m thrilled to be taking on the role of chief strategy officer at Digitas to further shape the strategic thinking across the agency’s business,” said Lee in a statement. “My goal is to help bring together creativity, media, data, and technology to build experiences that people welcome into their world and build brands that secure a role in their lives—thereby helping drive performance and create growth for our clients.”

As part of the Digtas national leadership team, Lee will focus on driving new business growth, creating strategic solutions for organic growth and fortifying connections between the regional teams and national leaders—to further develop the strategic craft of the 100-plus person department.

The North American executive leadership team continues to expand at Digitas. Along with Lee’s elevation, the agency has also elevated Melissa Berger to evp, head of strategic growth and solutions. Berger will work with the regional strategy teams to drive organic growth through Digitas’ five core growth drivers. Her remit will include managing the operation of strategy teams across regional offices and codifying the agency’s growth solutions to help client leadership. Berger will report to Lee.
