Tara Lynn is leaving WRAL in Raleigh to start her own photography business.
The Raleigh NBC affiliate’s reporter and morning anchor said on Facebook she’s spent 4 and a half of her 5 and half years at the station working overnights “By choice.” She says she’ll now be able to “sleep when normal people sleep.”
“It often seems that making a positive and direct impact comes few and far between in this business, but when the opportunity comes it is wonderful,” said Lynn.

Her last day is next Monday.
