WLS_01-09-2014_16.18.49During yesterday’s 4:00 p.m. news on Chicago’s WLS, Linda Yu’s co-anchor Alan Krashesky updated viewers on Yu’s condition.

“We did talk to her this afternoon. She’s in good spirits,” said the anchor for the ABC owned station. “She’s actually grateful for all your good wishes, the messages you’ve been sending. We do hope to have her back as soon as she recovers from her surgery.”

Krashesky said Yu will soon undergo a second surgery after breaking her left leg in a traffic accident last weekend.

Kathy Brock, who was filling in for Yu at 4:00 p.m. added, “And the really good news about this if there is any good news, she broke her leg in Florida.”
