Jacksonville indie station WJXT will launch a daytime lifestyle and entertainment show, River City Live, Oct. 26. “There are so many inimitable and wonderful things happening in Jacksonville,” said WJXT general manager Bob Ellis in a statement. “I’m constantly amazed by how the First Coast is re-defining itself and as the only true local television station in town, who better to connect the community to this great vibe and these incredible local stories in a fun and entertaining way.”

The show, produced live at Jacksonville’s Unity Plaza, will feature hosts Eden Kendall and Mark Payton. Kendall is a longtime radio host in the market, and Payton previously worked as co-host of the syndicated morning show The Daily Buzz.

Two reporters Elizabeth Campbell and Rance Adams, will contribute stories to the show. Campbell previously worked at WJXT, and Adams comes to Jacksonville from Charlotte, North Carolina where he most recently hosted the primetime talk show The Edge.
