Shannon Royster is joining Savannah, Ga., ABC affiliate WJCL as an evening anchor.
This is a return to the area for Royster who worked at WTOC as a reporter and anchor.
“I couldn’t be more excited about returning to Savannah and the Lowcountry,” said Royster. “I started my anchoring career there and I’ve been trying to get back for years. The chance to join the growing WJCL team is such a blessing for me and my family. We look forward to seeing our old friends and making new ones in a community that holds such a special place in my heart.”

She comes from WTVF in Nashville, Tennessee where she is the weekend anchor. She’s also worked in Charlotte, N.C., Shreveport, La. and Erie, Pa.
