WITN Anchor Speaks Out About His Wife’s Sudden Death

By Stephanie Tsoflias Siegel

WITN main anchor, Dave Jordan, says he will be back to work next week after losing his wife, Stephanie Shoop.  Shoop was also the NBC affiliate’s news director.

“I’ve gone back to the station to visit as part of the healing process,” said Jordan in an email to TVSpy this morning.

Shoop died suddenly last week Tuesday in her home outside Greenville, North Carolina. The longtime news director was 46 years old. She started at the station in 1998 as a news producer.

“Stephanie was simply the most amazing person I have ever known and is deeply missed. Stephanie was also a very strong and determined person, and we are all drawing our strength from that. We all plan to do our best to pickup and carry on, as we know she would be telling us to do just that,” said Jordan, who anchors the evening newscasts.

Jordan says he will be back on the air Tuesday. Shoop is survived by Jordan and her two children.
