John Elliott is following in the footsteps of Dave Chappelle and Kathy Griffin when he performs at Caroline’s, the famed Times Square comedy club tonight.
Elliott, who does weather on WCBS-TV’s morning show and the Scott Shannon mornig show on WCBS-FM, will be performing during Caroline’s New Talent night. While he’s quick with the one-liners on the morning shows, tonight will be Elliott’s first time taking his show on the road. He was goaded into it by “those crazy radio guys.”
Elliott, who has also worked at KCBS, MSNBC, XETV in San Diego, and KGET in Bakersfield, got the tricks of the trade from Caroline’s talent coordinator.
