WCAU Meteorologist Moving to WRC

By Kevin Eck

WCAU meteorologist Sheena Parveen is leaving the Philadelphia NBC-owned station tomorrow to work at WRC, the NBC-owned station in Washington, D.C.

Parveen came to WCAU in 2011 from WTVT in Tampa, Florida.

“I’m so excited to be coming to the nation’s capital,” Parveen said in a post on WRC when the move was announced in October. “I’ve always loved the D.C. area and the intricate weather that comes along with the seasons. NBC4 has an amazing weather team, and I can’t wait to be a part of it.”

“Weather-wise, [the markets] are the same. But Sheena’s coming to the number one station in Washington, DC,” WRC chief meteorologist Doug Kammerer told philly.com. “We’ve been number one here for a number of years. She’ll be on the morning team and she’ll make our team even better.”
