Tribune SVP of Local Media Departs

Steve Charlier, senior vice president of local media for Tribune Broadcasting has left the company.

Robert Feder reports Charlier is leaving to launch a multi-platform media company. “That means I can finally experiment with some of my ‘less than traditional ideas’ as an entrepreneur,” Charlier told Feder.

This is the second move within Tribune this month. Last week Larry Wert, who was named president of broadcast media for Tribune in February, appointed Steve Farber senior vice president of operations for the company.

Charlier started at Tribune in 2008 as SVP of news and operations. Before coming to Tribune, he was vice president and news director at KOVR and KMAX in Sacramento, CA.
