Today, Nexstar announced the appointment of Theresa Underwood as senior vice president and regional manager.
Underwood spent the past 22 years at Nexstar-owned ABC affiliate WSYR in Syracuse, N.Y. She was most recently vice president/general manager at the station.
In her new role, Underwood will oversee Nexstar East regional markets in New York, Pennsylvania and Vermont.
“Theresa brings to her new position a deep understanding of Nexstar and our critical functions including station management, local programming production, digital and social media integration, sales and strategic planning, and brand positioning across multiple media platforms,” said Tim Busch, co-chief operating officer of Nexstar.
Underwood’s appointment is effective immediately.
