KGTV military reporter Bob Lawrence is retiring from TV news after 33 years.
In an on-air segment, he took viewers through his career and explained his passion for reporting on the military for the San Diego ABC affiliate.
The station shared tweets from colleagues wishing him well.
Lawrence told viewers, “It has been a privilege.” He got an ovation from staffers standing off camera.
