Reporter Sharrie Williams is leaving Miami’s WFOR for KTVT in Dallas. Williams is jumping from one CBS O&O to another and, in doing so, is following news director Adrienne Roark, who left WFOR for KTVT in March.

In making the announcement, KTVT president and general manager Gary Schneider praised Williams’ “knowledge of–and enthusiasm for–sports,” something that Schneider sees as a big asset in the sports-crazed Dallas-Fort Worth market.

Williams is set to take over the weekend anchor role from Nerissa Knight, who is leaving the station after three years.

Williams joined WFOR in December of 2007 and worked closely with Roark–who also signed with the station that year–during her time there as a reporter and fill-in anchor. Before WFOR, Williams worked as a reporter for Birmingham’s WVTM and WBBJ in Jackson, TN.
