Raycom Buys Boise Fox Affiliate

By Kevin Eck

Raycom Media says it has closed on its acquisition of Boise Fox affiliate KNIN.

“KNIN is a terrific community partner in southwest Idaho, and Raycom Media looks forward to joining them as strong partners to the families and businesses we serve,” said Raycom president and CEO Paul McTear.

KNIN had been owned by Journal Communications, which merged with E.W. Scripps in April. Scripps had to sell KNIN since it already owns Boise ABC affiliate KIVI. KIVI will provide technical, news programming, master control and administrative services to KNIN under a shared services agreement.
