Parker Slaybaugh, reporter and video journalist for WSET, has announced he is leaving the Lynchburg-Roanoke, VA, ABC affiliate to work as a reporter/fill-in anchor for ABC affiliate WRIC in Richmond, VA.
He told viewers on facebook, “Thank you to everyone who has supported me during my time here at WSET, and special thanks to those who took a chance in hiring me fresh out of college. Thank you to all of our viewers who have trusted me and my colleagues as your source for news. I hope I have served the Central Virginia Community well.”
Slaybaugh was hired at WSET two years ago from Liberty University where he majored in video broadcasting.

He also said on his facebook page, his last day at WSET will be September 22.
