San Diego’s KNSD has undergone a major makeover.
At 5 a.m. on Monday morning, the NBC-affiliate officially unveiled a new “NBC San Diego” logo, along with a new graphics package, as the station made its HD debut.
As NewscastStudio points out, “The new branding matches the brand rolled out by NBC O&O’s last year online, deemphasizing the channel number.”
Complementing the HD debut was the station’s newly renovated set, which was introduced in December.
“I’m biased but I think it’s the best looking set in the market,” Dick Kelley, the station’s general manager, told TVSpy via email. “It’s bright and ‘open’ with a very comfortable ‘feel'; much like the market. The intent was to have it truly reflect the look and feel of San Diego.”
