Michael J. Smith has been promoted to gm of Nexstar’s CBS Green Bay CBS affiliate WFRV and its digital properties. Smith will also overse Marquette’s WJMN.
Smith replaces Joseph Denk who took over Nexstar’s Memphis and Jackson, Tenn. stations in April.
Smith is the gsm and national sales manager at WFRV and WJMN. Before coming to the stations in 2000, he worked at WGBA and WACY in Green Bay, Wisc.
