Nexstar Names GM of Savannah Station

Marc Hefner has been named vp and GM of Nexstar-owned WSAV in Savannah, Georgia.

Hefner comes from the station group’s WCWJ in Jacksonville, Florida. WSAV is one of the stations bought by Nexstar in its multi-billion dollar merger with Media General.

“Marc is a dedicated and a highly accomplished General Manager within the Nexstar organization,” said Nexstar svp and regional manager, Bill Sally. “Throughout his television career, he has built high-achieving, deeply engaged teams that have established enduring partnerships with local advertisers, businesses and community organizations, while elevating the level of service provided to the local viewers and clients. Before working at Nexstar, Hefner worked in sales in Jacksonville at WTLV, WJXX, WAWS and WTEV. He’s also worked at KCTV in Kansas City, Missouri, WZTV and WXMT in Nashville, Tennessee.

In the last week, Nexstar has announced four new GMs and announced changes to its executive leadership team.
