New Orleans’ WWL to Air Half-Hour Special Honoring Nash Roberts

By Andrew Gauthier

WWL will air a half-hour special on Tuesday evening honoring the station’s former meteorologist Nash Roberts, who died over the weekend at the age of 92.

Roberts spent over 50 years working as a TV weathercaster in New Orleans, becoming a legendary figure in the city for his ability to calmly and accurately predict the forecast in times of extreme weather.

He spent the last 23 years of his career with WWL and the CBS-affiliate will look back on his career with interviews that current and former WWL anchors conducted with the decorated meteorologist.  Angela Hill will anchor the program, titled “Remembering Nash Roberts.”
