Meteorologist Justin Fujioka Leaving KITV

justin fujiokaAfter 12 years at KITV, chief meteorologist Justin Fujioka is saying goodbye to the Honolulu ABC affiliate.

Fujioka has been named press secretary for Hawaii governor Neil Abercrombie, according to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser. His first day in his new role will be January 27.

Fujioka joined KITV in 2002 as an associate news producer and the producer of the station’s weekend forecasts. In 2003, he became the weekend weather anchor. He was later named chief meteorologist and also serves as a news reporter for the station.
