Longtime WCAX Weathercaster Passes Away

By Andrew Gauthier

Longtime WCAX weathercaster Stuart Hall passed away this week.  He was 90.

Hall joined the Burlington station in 1954, just two months after it went on the air.  He quickly became a familiar face to Vermont viewers, not only forecasting the weather but also hosting a quiz show. He eventually went on to serve as vice president of the station before retiring in 1990.

Along with Tony Adams and Richard Gallagher, Hall was part of one of the longest running news teams in the country. (WCAX’s tribute video above).
