After 11 years at Hartford-New Haven CBS affiliate WFSB, Len Besthoff is joining rival WVIT.

According to a memo to WVIT staffers obtained by The Laurel, Besthoff will be the NBC owned station’s chief investigative reporter. “This addition to our Troubleshooters Unit assures that we will continue to build on the momentum developed over the past 20 months. We have created the premier investigative team in the state,” the WVIT memo reads.

At WFSB, Besthoff was the Hartford bureau chief and an investigative reporter. Before moving to Hartford, he worked at WRAL in Raleigh-Durham and WDBJ in Lynchburg.
