KXAS and WVUE Big Winners in 2015 Murrow Awards

While Seattle NBC affiliate KING and Omaha ABC affiliate KETV took home overall excellence awards for large and small markets, NBC-owned KXAS and New Orleans FOX affiliate WVUE were the big winners in the 2015 Edward R. Murrow Awards announced today.

In the large market category, Dallas-Ft. Worth NBC-owned station KXAS took home three awards: one for Continuing Coverage, one for News Series and a third for Investigative Reporting. Minneapolis NBC affiliate KARE scored a double with awards for Feature Reporting and Boyd Huppert‘s writing. KING joined KARE with an additional award for Use of Sound/Video.

In the small markets, WVUE was the clear front runner, taking home three statues for Newscast, Investigative Reporting and News Series.
