After 12 years on the morning anchor desk for KWTV, Robin Marsh announced she will anchor the 4 pm. news for the Oklahoma City CBS affiliate beginning in January.
“No one is leaving News9 and we’re glad about that,” Marsh’s co-anchor Stan Miller said on this morning’s newscast. “But one of us is making a change and I know you’re wishing it was me. But it’s not.” Marsh then announced the change saying, “I’m so excited to share with you that starting in January, I will be joining Lauren Nelson on the four o’clock news here on News9.”
Marsh told viewers she jumped at the chance after Christina Eckert announced she was moving to Texas. Marsh said she wanted to spend more time with her family and take her son to school.
“You’re going to miss us so bad.” protested Miller.” He then told viewers, “She’ll be back.” You can watch the video of the announcement after the jump.
The station announced Bobbie Miller will take Marsh’s slot on the morning anchor desk in January.
