KPHO Meteorologist Shows Why Electronics and Water Don’t Mix

This morning on Phoenix CBS affiliate KPHO, meteorologist Katie Baker made sure the station engineers will remember her name.

While doing a live interview in a pool, Baker accidentally dipped the wireless mic cube into the water, shorting it out.

When they went back to Baker later in the show, she was using a hardwire mic. She shared her teachable moment with her on camera guest, saying, “So, the first thing I learned, Paul, is that with scuba diving,  you shouldn’t put the mic into the water.”
