KOAA has announced Kelly Duffy will join the Colorado Springs NBC affiliate as news director.
“In addition to her other strengths, Kelly has been recognized for excellence in delivering breaking news on multiple platforms in life threatening situations,” KOAA president and general manager Evan Pappas said in a statement. “With the unprecedented string of natural disasters and news stories with national significance here in recent years, it’s that type of experience in the news trenches we’ll rely upon.”
Duffy, who comes to KOAA from KSBW in Salinas-Monterey, CA, takes over for David Randall who is moving into the newly created director of multimedia position.
Duffy has also anchored at KSNW in Wichita, KS. Her first day at KOAA will be December 2.
