Karen Mendez is joining KXTX, the Telemundo station in Dallas, as the vice president of content. In her new role, Mendez will oversee the local news operation and report to John Trevino, the president and general manager of the station.
“Karen is an experienced leader with a track record of improving local news and a strong commitment to the Hispanic community,” Trevino said in a statement. “She is the right person to lead our Emmy award winning team.”
Mendez moves to Dallas from Washington, D.C., where she was the news director for Unvision’s WFDC. She will officially join KXTX on June 16.
