Jim Douglas to Retire From WFAA

WFAA reporter Jim Douglas is retiring from the Dallas ABC affiliate.

The Dallas Star-Telegram reports Douglas’ last day will be Thursday, July 28. Part of his decision to retire was to spend more time with his parents who live in Cincinnati.

“I want to be able to watch a few more baseball games with my dad,” said Douglas. “I wasn’t sure I could take too much more knocking on doors and talking to grieving families.”

Douglas started at WFAA after working at KXAS for ten years. He started his career doing radio in Cincinnati, Ohio and began working in TV News in 1983 in Louisville, Kentucky.
